Hyderabad: GHMC Mayor Gadwal Vijayalakshmi has said health services are available in Hyderabad metro stations for the first time in the country. Under the auspices of Mitta Excellens, now Poly Health Clinic is available at LB. Nagar Metro Station. On Sunday, Mayor Vijayalakshmi, who travelled by metro train as the chief guest, inaugurated a Health Clinic.
She said apart from metro passengers, the people of surrounding areas can also avail the medical services. She said for the first time, Health ATM is also available in LB Nagar Metro Station. The Mayor said it is a record in the country that modern corporate level medical care is available in the metro station like blood test diagnostic facility, medical shop, medical specialists, physiotherapy, tele medicine, dental care.
Ibrahimpatnam MLA Malreddy Rangareddy said it is a great thing that emergency clinics are immediately made available at the metro stations for any illness in the metro trains where lakhs of people travel. Mitta Excellens Chairman Dr Mitta Srinivas Reddy said the first clinic has been started in L.B.Nagar and soon it will be made available in Miyapur and Rayadurgam metro stations. He said it will be set up in 100 metro centers across the country. He said they will conduct free hemoglobin tests as part of the Anemia Free India call given by Prime Minister Narendra Modi. He also announced that 21 tests like vision check and audiometry will be done for free. Mitta Excellese Directors Dr Nikhil Kumar Reddy, Dr Nikita Reddy, senior journalist Dr Mohammed Rafee and others participated.
